VTG Garrett's Virginia Dare Wine Bottle--Embossed & Paper Labels--Brooklyn, NY

Description

This is a vintage Virginia Dare wine bottle by Garrett & Company, Inc, Brooklyn, New York.  Likely mid-20th century.  Garrett's produced non-alcoholic wine during Prohibition so this is post-Prohibition era, then the company was sold in the 1960s. One side of bottle has original paper labels indicating American White Wine with 13% alcohol by volume.    Labels have slight paper loss and discoloration consistent with age.  Other side of bottle is embossed with Garrett's logos and also has an old partial ABC stamp.  Bottle is 4/5 quart size and stands approximately 13" tall.  Has original white screw cap which has light corrosion but screws freely.  Bottle is clean with no chips or cracks.   Patent number embossed on bottom: 101182.
