    Vintage Japanese Folding Hand Fan; Japan - U.S. Centennial 1860-1960 Japan Tourist Association Folding Painted Fan
    This unique collectible fan is in vintage good condition for its age. There is wear to the fan - mostly to the folds, some discoloration and staining. See photos of closeups.
    Made of heavy/thick paper attached to bamboo tines/ribs. The colors are orange/red with white and gold/silver metallic accents. Designs on both sides, one side is stamped "made in Japan" on one of the bamboo tines, and on the reverse are the words "Japan Tourist Association". The seal in the center has Japanese and English and the dates 1860-1960. The height of the fan when closed is nearly 11 inches, when opened the width is approximately 18 inches.
