Vintage Gold Roses Tissue Kleenex Box Filigree Ornate Ormulu Hollywood Regency

Description

Vintage, Hollywood Regency style and era, ormulu - gilt metal - lidded facial tissue or Kleenex Box in very good condition. This box, with a hinged lid, measures 10 3/8" (26.3cm) wide by 4 7/8" (12.3cm) deep and 2 1/2" (6.3cm) high. The top is embellished with a clutch of roses and leaves on the top left and the corners are accented with small shells. The inside bottom is covered with a gilded hardboard that is finished in burgundy velveteen on the outside bottom and secured in place with brass nails. Box shows some wear on the outside gilding and on the inside board and velveteen bottom pad - see photos for details. Lovely addition to any vanity, bath or wedding event accessory.
