    This is a rare unused advertising postcard promoting the MACK SENNETT film "SUZANNA" starring
    Goldwyn Pictures
    silent film star MABEL NORMAND. The legendary actress, comedienne and director was best known as the most famous of MACK SENNETT's performers at Keystone Studios and eventually his love interest. Their film careers and relationship were the subject of the Original Broadway production of the JERRY HERMAN and MICHAEL STEWART musical love story "MACK & MABEL" which played New York's Majestic Theatre. (The production opened October 6th, 1974 and ran for only 66 performances.) ..... Based on Mack Sennett's funny and fabulous Hollywood, the musical starred ROBERT PRESTON and BERNADETTE PETERS and featured LISA KIRK, JERRY DODGE, CHRISTOPHER MURNEY, TOM BATTEN, BERT MICHAELS, NANCY EVERS, ROBERT FITCH, STANLEY SIMMONDS and JAMES MITCHELL .....     DETAILS: The unused postcard measures 5 3/8" X 3 1/4" inches, was printed in 1922 by Max B. Sheffer Card Co., Chicago and includes a wonderful photo of MABEL NORMAND and film credits on the front. The correspondence side is blank ..... CONDITION: With the exception of minor edge wear, this rare postcard is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or classic film historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
