    This award is designed to recognize Scouts and adult leaders who complete a trip of at least 50 miles over a minimum of five consecutive days, using non-motorized methods such as hiking, canoeing, biking, or horseback riding​
    To earn this award, participants must also complete at least 10 hours of service work related to the trail or waterway they are using. This service can include activities like trail maintenance, campsite cleanup, or similar conservation projects
