    Description

This is a photograph of a group of people in front of the US Capitol Building on April 5, 1916.  The bald man in the middle of the back row is Representative John Jacob Rogers who served in Congress from Massachusetts between 1913 and 1925.  Under the photo is written "For Mr. Roland E. Tripp from John Jacob Rogers  April 5, 1916."  The Capitol Building rises behind the people in the picture.  I wish there were more names of those in the photo but I think it is fortunate that it was signed by Representative Rogers.  The image is e 9 & 3/8" by 7 & 1/2".   It is mounted on stiff cardboard which has been unevenly trimmed.  With the mat it is about 10" by 10".  It appears to be a historic piece.
