    Description

    Antique trembler hairpin with Vauxhall red glass insect.  Bottom side of body has fleabite, otherwise outstanding condition, with no missing pieces or damage to the glass.  Underside has UK kitemark dating the piece prior to 1883.  Insect measures just over 1-1/2 inches long and 1 inch wide, with legs extending a little further outward.  Total length of hairpin 5 inches.
