    Description

Made for the sacred Kagura shrine dance, this mask represents a young woman but I am not quite sure of the exact personage portrayed. Approx 8" X 6" it is of carved from a light wood, perhaps
    kiri
. The mask itself is in one piece with no cracking but there is some loss of pigmentation due to age and use, which I find adds to its appeal. If purchasing from abroad, please inquire for int'l shipping rates thank-you.
